We’ve all heard it before… the dreaded sleep regressions. You’re probably wondering why the title of this post is “Celebratory Sleep Regressions”, and chances are you’re now thinking that I’m crazy.
But just hear me out…
🎈 While sleep regressions may be pesky and frustrating, they’re most certainly a cause for celebration.
When a little one is going through a regression, it’s almost always because of a new developmental skill or milestone that they have achieved.
When baby’s brain is focusing on new skills that they are learning (like sitting up, crawling, walking, etc.), sleep is often impacted.
🎈 Here’s the thing, if your little one already has healthy sleep habits, sleep regressions usually only last a week or two. With consistency and routine, you can be back on track in no time.
However, if your little one has already been having a hard time when it comes to naps, bedtime, or the middle of the night, a sleep regression can quickly turn into a long-term struggle.
🎈 Celebrate those big milestones that your babe is achieving! Just remember to stay consistent in your routines.
